About Me, Completely This Time.

Ok. I was born, and at age seven turned 7 years old. Then I tried to play the guitar because it was something my father did as a hobby. However he yelled at me to "Keep my thumb behind the neck!" enough times to make me put the thing down, well, for three years. Now I yell at my son and tell him to keep his thumb behind the guitar neck. So there.

No, seriously, I recovered from the yelling and picked the guitar back up at age ten and have not put it down since. And--I'm proud to add--I haven't smashed one in Who fashion, either. I did throw a drum machine. Once. Well, heck, it was a machine, not a living entity like the guitar.

NEway, I ended up practicing a lot of hours--like many of you reading this, got pretty good at the thing--like many of you reading this, got into a band or two, was recorded on a CD, and when the band disbanded ended up composing/recording my own stuff. Just like many of you.

So my point is that I am normal. And like many of you, I am known to verbally imitate guitar sounds while doing some of the more routine, mundane tasks around the house (those imitations might sound like this). I also am known to often literally freeze and become speechless--demanding nearby family members to do the same--when a guitar solo is within earshot. So there you have it.

Oh yes, and I got married at age 29 to a beautiful, musical woman and have a few little ones. And as there are more guitars than family members at home, no one gets left out, not even the 1-yr old.
